Building on the ROCK

One day God showed me a picture of my spirit-what I had done to it-in part, by placing my worth in other people’s opinions.

I was a hard-cord people pleaser until I wasn’t. I got burnt out pleasing people, but then apathy settled in and took the place of people-pleasing (as it always does).

I had no idea what I was doing to my spiritual life. I had completely neglected my spirit by placing my worth in everything but Jesus!

Everything changed when I began to see how loved, valuable and worthy I am through Jesus.

Ask yourself what makes you feel worthy and acceptable? Is it being in a relationship, or having the acceptance of other people? Is it in what other people say, or what you can accomplish? Are you a hard-cord people-pleaser like I was?

There are a lot of options out there, you know!

But take it from me, it’s all sinking sand to place your worth in.

I encourage you today search your heart, and see where you find your value. If it’s anything but what the Father says you are, I would say it’s time to lay down some idols and begin discovering who you REALLY ARE…

…Child of the King.
