If I could go back and teach my younger self, I would tell her…
-Stop placing your worth in what others think of you.
-Stop looking to be “seen.”
-Stop trying to be liked by everybody.
-Stop trying to be what you think other people want you to be.
-It’s okay that not everyone likes you.
-Your value isn’t based on people’s perception of you.
-Your value also not based on how you see yourself.
-Because there will be times you will hate yourself and become your own worst enemy.
No matter how you feel about yourself, your value doesn’t change.
And I would tell her…
-It’s all going to be OK.
Because you are going to discover who you are *to God.*
And it will change everything about you.
-You will learn to love yourself.
-You will stop being exhausted trying to please everyone.
-Loving others will be natural and won’t feel forced.
-You will stop feeling like an imposter and begin to feel like you BELONG.
-It will be the best version of yourself you will have ever known.
-You will be excited to face the world with the REAL, authentic version of YOU.
-You will wonder where this “you” has been all your life.
-Your heart will soar knowing you have something special and unique to offer the world.
AND best of all…
-You will finally stop feeling so conflicted in your relationship with God.
-No more, “He loves me, He loves me not,” based on what you do.
-A peace will settle over your life knowing you are perfectly and completely loved.
-You will realize that “this” is exactly how it was always meant to be.
All because you began to discover who you are to the One Who gave you life, and what you mean to Him.
Identity.
It changes…well, everything.
You are loved.
Valued.
Priceless.
Enough.
When your see your worth through the Father’s eyes, you discover who you *REALLY* are.
